Jo-Anne was born in California. She moved to Oregon in 1989. After raising her family she decided that she needed something to fill the void once spent on family. She took one glass class and was immediately hooked. Glass quickly became her passion. She is currently on the faculty of the Eugene Glass School and co-teaches the glass school s Wednesday night fusing fun club. She is the current president of the Eugene chapter of the Oregon Glass Guild. Her work can be seen in galleries throughout Oregon.

Artist Statement:

I am not sure where my inspiration comes from. Once I started fusing glass I began looking at the world differently. Colors became more vibrant, Things that I never noticed before became more interesting. I found that I have several sides to my art. One is whimsical and fun another is functional with a bend towards an Asian look. I often include multi-medium to my work. While most of my work is fused I have experience blowing glass and torch work.
